Gallery of MU Lala Art Space
MU Lala Art Space (51/12 Ngo Ao Nghe Dam Tri, Quang An, Tay Ho, Ha Noi) that runs art exhibitions and workshops opened in Tay Ho district, Hanoi on November 11.
The exhibition and workshop are hosted by Thuy Anh, a lacquer and oil painter. Thuy is a member of the artist group Ngo Hang Kheo and used to paint pictures and play music with friends before. However, She experienced lockdown due to the pandemic and renovated an art studio to share artworks with more people. Therefore, Thuy and other members of the group plan weekend gatherings and community art activities mainly for the young generation.
Thuy hosts workshops that themed pottery, lacquer painting, oil painting, music, fashion, and coffee once a month. The dates are mainly the days when the numbers of the month and the day match, such as November 11 and December 12. A party event will be scheduled on December 12 to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The size of the space is 400 square meters and they can accommodate more than 30 participants. There is also a coffee space inside and they sell Arabica coffee beans. Besides packs of roasted coffee beans, they also grind beans upon request. Participants can sample in the same place as well.
The group supports artists so that at least one person can exhibit without a space rental fee each month. At the same time, a stay-type art experience project for domestic and foreign visitors, Artist Residence is under planning. Thuy comments “We would like to create a community for all artists who love art and carry out many projects.”
Opening hour is 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. They open from Tuesday to Friday only if events are held.
