Japanese curry restaurant, Ooyama curry Hanoi (10/53 Linh Lang, Cong Vi, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi, TEL 0879562418) relocated to Ba Dinh district, Hanoi on February 21.
A non-profit organization (NPO) that runs a Japanese language school in Saitama prefecture, Japan started this restaurant. The NPO has received many Vietnamese students so far. The representative of this organization opened the curry shop in the Kim Ma area to bind Japanese and Vietnamese people through food. To overcome the failure to attract customers due to COVID-19, they have decided to relocate to the Ling Lang area where many Japanese residents live as much as Kim Ma.
The size of the restaurant is 30 square meters, and there are 10 tables. They offer only Ooyama curry during day time and open the bar, named “Caribbean” nighttime. The restaurant manager Masamitsu Ooyama says “Our curry is based on retro Japanese dish, not what we call spice curry.”
The menu includes; Waraji katsu curry (180,000 VND) served with huge pork cutlet; Vegetable curry (140,000 VND) using fresh vegetables such as pumpkin, asparagus, spinach; Fried chicken (20,000 VND). As for bowls, they offer Warajikatsudon, Butadon (from 180,000 VND), Katsudon, Oyakodon (from 150,000 VND). The take-away option is also available.
Ooyama says “It is pleased to relocate near energetic Linh Lang market. We would like to be the restaurant where customers drop in casually. Japanese customers are also welcome.”
