Japanese restaurant, Hatsumode opened in Hanoi – Comfortable private rooms are perfect for party

It has been five months since the Japanese restaurant, Hatsumode (44 Phan Ke Binh, Cong Vi, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi) opened in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

The design concept of this restaurant is a Japanese local atmosphere that let customers forget that they are in Vietnam. A Japanese owner, Eiichi Hirano who runs two Japanese restaurants in Iidabashi, Tokyo opened Hatsumode on December 1 last year. He established a company in Vietnam in February last year but the opening was delayed due to COVID-19.

Hirano says “Our restaurants in Japan are supported by Vietnamese staff.” The name of the restaurant relates to the first day of the year in Japanese, which is the most energetic time of the year. Regarding the restaurant’s name, he says “We would like to offer the precious time that customers wish for happiness for their family and lovers and they imagine dreams of the future.”

The size of the restaurant is 115 square meters. (It has not been constructed yet partially) There are 8 seats at the counter, 3 tables for 4 people (2 tables are in private rooms), and two tables for 6 people in private rooms. After the construction, they will add 4 tables for 4 people and another 4 tables for 2 people.

The menu includes Osaka Sukiyaki (460,000 VND for 1 person) with Japanese rib-eye beef and vegetables; Motsu nabe (240,000 VND for 1 person) with beef intestine, vegetables,s and ramen (240,000 VND for 1 person), assorted yakitori plate (150,000 VND); and stir-fried lotus roots (100,000 VND)

For drinks, they offer; a high ball with Japanese whisky, Kaku (98,000 VND); Sapporo drafted beer (60,000 VND); Sake (200,000 VND) including Shichida (Saga), Mimuro sugi (Nara), Shichiken (Yamanashi) and Suigei (Kouchi). If customers choose the party plan, an all-you-can-drink plan is also available.

Opening hour is from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (1:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays)
