Chan Coffee & Working Space (So 3 Ngo 112 Tran Dai Nghia, Dong Tam, Hai Ba Trung, Ha Noi) with co-working space opened in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi on May 24.

The cafe opened as a place where people conduct social contribution activities. The name of the cafe means help each other in ancient Vietnamese. This is the second store of Chan Coffee on Nguyen Hien street, which opened as a volunteering cafe.

A founder and CEO, Luong Duc Thanh says We wanted to create a space where young people who have the same desire can gather, and relax quietly. They have an alliance with Chan Charity Fund, which is run by an investment firm in the science and technology industry, BDSG holdings. Based on their collaboration, they donate 10% of its profit and 1 in 3rd of employee salary. The fund will be used to implement school construction projects and to give education to children in financially difficult situations.

The cafe is four stories building and can accommodate approximately 50 people. A university student who works at that cafe designed its natural style interior using wooden furniture and plant. There is a large bookshelf and customers can relax and read books.

The menu includes Vietnamese coffee topped with chestnut and milk; Rose tea (both are 32,000 VND) mixed with jujube; Lychee tea (38,000 VND); and Watermelon juice (28,000 VND).

Luong says We would like to create a dynamic environment where young people can participate in volunteering projects. At the first store, they hold training events and seminars related to social contribution activity. In the future, both cafes held workshops and offer opportunities to connect start-ups.

Opening hour is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
