It has been two months since the open-air pub, Thom’s Space opened in Tay Ho district, Hanoi. The address is 35-2-38, Dang Thai Mai,Quang An,Tay Ho, Ha Noi. The opening day was January 20.  Thom Brewing Company which produces crafted beer runs this company. Thom means flavorful in Vietnamese. The open-air pub opened in quiet area in Tay ho area. The place offers crafted beer, a cafe menu such as light snacks and coffee. Inside the pub is a multi-purpose space for events, concerts, and workshop hosted by artists.  The company would like to achieve that farmers can get a fair profit by using Vietnamese ingredients in beer as much as possible. There are crafted beer using black peppar from Quang Tri province and Phu Quoc island, and cacao nib from Ba Ria and Vung Tau province.  Craft beers include ale using buckwheat from Ha Giang province in northern Vietnam (80,000 VND), golden ale using lime from An Giang province, and Belgian & Saigon ale using doi seed from northwestern Vietnam (from 75,000 VND)

It has been one month since the Vegetarian restaurant, Thien Tam An opened in Tay Ho area in Hanoi. The opening day was on December 8 and the address is 555 Lac Long Quan, Ha Noi. The owner Mai An says “We would like to protect the environment and offer healthy food for guests.” The restaurant offers buffets. There is a big table and guests can take food from there. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate parties of several dozen people. Besides private rooms, there is also a photo spot with lotus flowers painted on the wall. The restaurant offers more than 40 dishes, including fried ¥dishes, steamed food, stew, soup, and dessert. All food is vegetarian but some are quite close to the meaty taste. An says “non-vegetarians can also enjoy the food here.” The price of the buffet is 120,000 VND per person. Customers can put their favorite dish in a container prepared by the store and take it home (50,000 VND). An says “We have a menu that will keep our customers from getting bored. Korean bakery shop, Pastry O’Clock opens in Tay Ho – Offering Croffle

Korean bakery shop, Pastry O’Clock opened the second shop in Tay Ho district, Hanoi. The address is 92A P.Quang Khanh, Quang An,Tay Ho, Ha Noi. The first shop is in Nam Tu Liem district. The owner is a Korean. The name of this shop means it is time to eat pastry. The new shop is near Tay Ho area. From the cafe space with tables, customers can see the lake. The menu includes croffle using croissant dough but shaped as waffles. Croffle was trendy dessert in 2020, Korea. Flavor can be chosen from Oreo cream, coffee, and maple (67,000 VND). Online seminar, market development in Vietnam will hold in October

Pottery exhibition under the theme of paper money, Money Pot displays 20 items

Art exhibition in Hanoi displays natural stone and painting

A painter, Le Giang holds an art exhibition, Future Perfect at Vincom Center for Contemporary Art in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. After that, she got a Master’s degree at the University of the Arts London. She was curious about in the process that provides sacred values to the natural stones. This drove her to conduct one year of research. In detail, it was about a custom that worships rock. Besides, she collected scientific reports and geological survey results. The fee is 50,000 VND for one session, 400,000 VND for 10 sessions (valid for 4 weeks), and 1,000,000 VND for 30 sessions (valid for 12 weeks). There is also a skateboard school. Room rates are season fees, but the Superior Deluxe starts at 8,333,000 VND per night. Contemporary Art Gallery opens at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, renovated former exhibition space

On February 25, the Contemporary Arts Gallery opened at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi). The museum preserves Vietnam’s historical cultural heritage and works of art. It has collected and archived approximately 20,000 pieces from the Bronze Age to the present day. In response to the rapid growth and diversification of the contemporary art field, the second and third floors of Building B, which used to hold special exhibitions, have been renovated into a gallery dedicated to contemporary art. Currently on display are more than 65 paintings (lacquer and oil paintings), graphic arts, and sculptures (steel and iron) created since 1980. Exhibiting artists include Trinh Cung, Nguyen Trung, Bui Tien Tuan, and Vu Dinh Tuan. “We want to provide a place that inspires artists,” said Nguyen Anh Minh, the director. “We hope that art lovers can also feel the message to people today and the dynamic of life from the multifaceted viewpoints of artists.” Opening hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Closed on Mondays. Ohisama kindergarten in Hanoi starts online program –Offering same hours as a normal course

It has been four months since Ohisama kindergarten (46 Ngo 445 Lac Long Quan, Xuan La, Tay Ho, Ha Noi, TEL 0971049172) in Tay ho District, Hanoi started the online program. Japanese sports academy in Hanoi offers free online lessons

Sakura Sports Academy (SSA) in Cau Giay District, Hanoi, is now offering free online lessons. The academy offers soccer, cheerleading, karate, and exercise classes for children, as well as fitness for adults. Inoue Kanta, a former J-League player/president, launched the academy in May 2019. Inoue said: “When I visited Vietnam, I was impressed by their great economic development, but at the same time, I often saw people disturbing the social order on the streets. I wanted to change and educate the society through sports.” He also explains that he is “nurturing future leaders” while teaching children about Japanese cultural aspects, such as “the spirit of caring for others,” “courtesy,” and “the power to make dreams come true.” He began offering online lessons in August. With the concept of “having fun, promoting health, and meeting friends,” the lessons focus on mental and physical growth and include full-body exercises in the form of games and using balls so that children will not get bored. It is open to everyone, and he said that he has seen an increase in the number of girls participating and children who are new to the academy. Each online lesson is 45 minutes long, and the lesson fee is set to be completely free until the end of September. The lesson schedule is provided upon inquiry, and the deadline for application is 6:00 p.m. on the day before the lesson. “All the coaches at our academy are professional instructors.
