Two store owners celebrate the opening

Sakuko, a supplier of Japanese brand products, opened its store in Vinhomes Smart City in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, on March 28.

The store offers Japanese domestic products such as baby products, household goods, detergents, seasonings, and confectioneries. Le Thi Quynh Chang, one of the shop owners, said: “Having studied in Japan for more than two years, I came to love Japanese culture and started using Japanese products.” Since there were no supermarkets or grocery stores around her home and no baby products readily available for her children in the area, she began to think about opening a Japanese product store and signed a contract with Sakuko, her favorite retail brand, to open an outlet in the vicinity of her apartment.

The store covers an area of 70 square meters and has more than 1,000 items. It is decorated in the style of a Japanese drugstore, with pink, the brand color of Sakuko, as an accent color. Customers can find a wide selection of Japanese products such as baby food, diapers, and paper towels in the baby products section; soy sauce, vinegar, and dashi stock in the seasonings section; and shampoo, conditioner, and dish soap in the household goods section. It also carries cosmetics, oral care products, and supplements, and has a section for new products of the month and special offers. Deliveries are also available.

“Currently, there are a lot of counterfeit Japanese products in Vietnam. I want to make this a place where customers can buy Japanese products with peace of mind and confidence,” Chang said.

Opening hours: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
