Taraumi, a Japanese restaurant had the first anniversary –100 dishes with authentic ingredients

Taraumi (629 Kim Ma, Ngoc Khanh, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi), the Japanese restaurant on Kim ma street in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi had one year anniversary on June 22.

The restaurant imports authentic ingredients such as Japanese beef, tuna, abalone, swordfish from Japan and offers more than 100 types of Japanese cuisine. The name of the restaurant is the mixed word of Tara (cod in Japanese) and Umi (sea in Japanese). Tran Thi Bich Ngot who works at the PR office said “Codfish is rich in nutrition and imagine us Japanese dishes and sea.”

The restaurant is six stories building. They have 10 counter seats on the first floor, 15 private rooms above the second floor. The inside design is traditional Japanese and customers can enjoy its comfort but luxury. On the first floor, they have an open kitchen and show the cooking process for their customers. Each private rooms have Japanese symbol such as carp, and autumn leaves inside.

The menu has various seafood and meat dishes such as; Sashimi combo (from 390,000 VND to 379,000 VND) with fatty tuna, abalone, fresh oyster, and salmon roe; Sushi (from 35,000VND/each) using salmon, shrimp, Sakhalin surf clam, and flying fish roe; Seafood soup; steamed egg with foie gras; abalone and ginkgo nuts (from 35,000 VND); Japanese beef on the hot stone plate (990,000VND); grilled saury (95,000 VND); seafood okonomiyaki (165,000 VND). Besides, the restaurant also has sake, plum wine, and Heineken beer.

Ngot said “We wish our place to be a nostalgic restaurant for Japanese who work in Vietnam. In the future, we also plan to be chain restaurants.”
